Investigating the microbiome of house dust mites in South Korea

چکیده
Understanding the house dust mites (HDMs) microbiome is crucial due to its potential effects on development of allergic diseases. In 1998, our laboratory collected Dermatophagoides farinae and D. pteronyssinus from beds in a Korean household began cultivating these HDMs. Our has been actively investigating several topics about HDMs recent years, including bacterial fungal their interactions, as well impact HDM airway inflammation. To study microbiome, we employed high-throughput sequencing 16S rDNA amplicons. The results revealed that two most abundant bacteria were Enterococcus faecalis Bartonella spp. contrast, found almost no . By inoculating HDMs, more susceptible than pteronyssinus. This susceptibility was associated with presence certain species Additionally, have recently made efforts produce reduced levels symbiotic bacteria. We believe standardizing controlling are steps for future improvement immunotherapies.

OBJECTIVE To evaluate hypersensitivity to Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus (D. pteronyssinus) and D. farinae in pediatric patients with atopic dermatitis (AD), and to assess the therapeutic value of using acaricides with other environmental anti house dust mites (HDM) measures. METHODS Ninety-eight children with AD were chosen randomly from the Pediatric Allergy Clinic in Al-Noor Hospital, Khal...

OBJECTIVE We aimed to determine the species of the house dust mites seen in Erzincan, the number of mites per gram of dust in the houses, and the relationship between temperature and the number of mite specimens. METHODS For this purpose, 54 dust samples collected from 18 houses located in different districts of Erzincan province between November 2013 and January 2014. These samples were exam...
متن کاملCollective Migration in House Dust Mites
Collective migrations occur in a wide range of taxa throughout the animal kingdom. Among the most studied examples are the social insects, such as ants during foraging (Hölldobler & Wilson 1990), fish (Sumpter 2009), birds (Bajec & Heppner 2009) and other vertebrates (Couzin & Krauze 2003). Collective migration is also observable in groups with a simpler social structure, such as earthworms (Zi...

House dust mites have been shown to be important sources of indoor allergens associated with asthma and other allergic conditions. Asthma is a chronic respiratory disease that affects millions of people worldwide, and numerous scientific studies have shown that the prevalence of asthma is increasing. The most common dust mite species around the world include Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus (Dp),...
متن کاملHigh altitude and house-dust mites.
House dust from high mountainous areas of Switzerland contains very few house-dust mites. In contrast to lower-lying regions, only very small quantities of house-dust allergen are found at high altitudes. The cause of this phenomenon seems likely to be the climatic conditions in the high mountains of Europe, where cold air leads to extremely low humidity levels indoors. The soil conditions and a...
